I have two script questions about jaws6. First, where are the scripts for jaws6 stored? I can not find the settings and enu folder. Are they stored somewhere else? or is the settings and enu folders in a different place then previous versions. Next will recompiling scripts from jaws5.1 work for jaws6 if recompiled? Thanks.
Troy
I've tried to compile an old script and it didn't work for me, maybe I'm doing something wrong, I dunno.
Jaws has changed the way the file manager works. Now instead of looking in the windows explorior, you go under programs, jaws 60 then explore jaws, then under that sub heading explore my settings. When you hit enter on it a window opens. To add scripts, just unzip them to a file of your choice I recommend creating a file. Un zip them to that file then cut and paste the scripts. Then save as usual. I hoped I explained this I am more than half awake. If you need more help private message me. I wll be glad to walk anyone through it.

That sounds complicated, why didn't they just leave it alone? The old way was much easier. Yes, do please explain further. Thanks.

I agree, they should of left it alone.
Just memorize the path the settings are in an unzip the files there. I finally worked it out. It's not that hard once you get use to it. So after you go to explore settings take note of the title bar, that's what I did. I apologise if I confused anyone but that's the best explanation I can give.
You can also go to windows explorer, hit alt+t to bring up the tools menu, then go to folder options. Once there, hit enter to open up the multy page dialog that comes up, control tab over to the view page, and tab around a few times untill you reach the treeview of options. Then arrow down untill you get to hidden files and folders, go down untill you hear show hidden files and folders, if that's turned off, hit spacebar to turn it on, then hit apply and ok. You can then go to your c drive under my computer. Once there, go to documents and settings, then to all users, then aplication data. Once there go to the freedom scientific folder, then jaws, then 6.0, then settings, and enu, and that's where you install scripts under jaws6.0.
If you are using Windows 2000 / XP / Server 2003, the path is c:documents and settingsusernameapplication datafreedom scientificjaws6.0settingsenu. Note that if you want the scripts to work for all users on the computer, once you open your documents and settings folder, open the all users folder instead of your own user profile folder.

I'm glad someone could explain it better than me.
